New member, new car: R50 British racing green

Just picked up a clean little British racing green R50. I've owned several older BMWs (e30, e36, e46) but haven't had a car for a while since buying my camper van. I decided getting 14mpg and driving around a tank every day was getting tiresome. I also didn't want to put unnecessary wear and tear on my van which is almost at 200k. My new place allows me to park two vehicles so I went looking for something inexpensive yet fun to drive.

Super happy so far with the purchase! The car is in great shape and runs smooth. Fun on the backroads and gets at least double mpg compared to my van. I'm in love with the white bottle cap wheels too. It's also got tan leather interior which I don't see often on the first gen mini's.

So lets see what kinda mods I put into this little beast. Maybe some minor suspension work and an intake to start.

Welcome to the forum and MINI ownership. It has to be quite a shock going from a camper van to a MINI. I was hoping to see a picture of the van.

I love my van, but I missed driving a fun little manual car. It's nice to have both, they couldn't be more opposite haha.
