Love at 1st Drive
The time had come to retire my MDX. Spent a couple days test driving subcompact SUVs thinking, “Yeah, this one could work.” or “Remember, its is not a V6, you’ll need to get used to it.” attempting to downsize for better gas mileage.
Then on a whim... I decided to test drive a MINI Cooper for fun. Walking onto the showroom floor I discovered my perfect match. The 2018 Countryman Cooper S! As I slid into the driver’s seat I knew I had found the perfect car for me. The driving experience sealed the deal.
I am am looking forward to learning and sharing all things MINI with y’all from Texas.

Welcome to the forum and MINI ownership. Many of us had the first drive and you-are-hooked experience. Unfortunately for some of us, there was a significant delay between the realization that MINI is the car for us and the MINI purchase. I searched for a sports car that handled like a MINI for months until I decided to just buy a MINI.
