New Mini Owner.
Hey, I'm Brandon. I just bought a 2006 JCW Cooper in pepper white, from a co-worker when my GTI was wrecked the other week. Though I'm more of a VW guy, I'm loving my new Mini and plan on keeping it for a long time.
The moment I got it, my girlfriend named it Special Agent Dale 'Mini' Cooper, Agent Cooper for short.

Brandon,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your GTI. Welcome to the forum and MINI ownership. Did you luck into buying the best possible MINI available or did you do research first? Just my opinion (year, model and color).
I bet it won't take long fo you to say that you are a MINI guy who used to be a VW guy.
We need pictures.

I kind of lucked into it. I've known a little about the new Minis since they came out and I work at a company that specializes in antique British & European cars, so I've also driven and worked on old Minis.
As a hobby to keep busy because he's retired and only works part time with us, a co-worker bought this one at salvage, it was wrecked on a track and the insurance adjuster didn't know it was an actual easy fix, and repaired all the damage, except for the bonnet, which I will replace soon. He did the same thing with two more minis, one for his daughter and a convertible for his wife to enjoy. The daughter is off to college and he and his wife are about to move back to California and are selling off their extra cars. He heard about my wreck and decided to sell this one to me at a great price, much cheaper than what they're going for at market, even with the salvage title.
Right now all it really needs is the bonnet replaced and a JCW pulley put on the charger because the first owner failed to change the charger oil so a standard S model charger is on it right now.

Welcome! Sweet looking ride. You found the best forum, you'll be buying a lot of parts soon! Haha. Pulley, CAI, exhaust, and braces to make it handle like a true go-kart. These cars are a freakn' blast and the s/c whine is addicting. Is your car a 6 speed manual?
Welcome, thats super clean and nice to see it have the JCW Tuning kit. And webspokes.

My coworker got a hold of the original owner, so I'm sure I can get some records on it.
Yes, it's a 6 speed manual.
Am I correct in assuming the only difference between the standard S charger and the JCW one is the pulley?
