Just Got My First Mini!!

I've been thinking about this car for weeks now, unfortunately with hurricane Irma passing through I had to hold off on the purchase. But finally she's mine!
She's a 08 cooper s with 70k miles and in near perfect condition. I've always owned convertibles for their fun factor but i think i'll enjoy this mini even more. I'm also interested in doing some simple mods first, what would you guys recommend for someone on a budget?

Welcome to NAM. Nice looking car.

Be sure to change the oil every 5,000 on that N14 engine.

I always convert all the halogen bulbs I can, to LEDs. But the mini is the only car Ive owned where it threw an error code so make sure the lights are error free version if you do this. (My 2014 takes the T10 style bulbs ebay has packs of 20 for like $10. - but again make sure they are the error free versions as my first set was not error free and threw a code.)

Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
Congrats on your new to you Mini! It looks in really good shape.
Again, as others have said, use full synthetic oil and replace filter also, every 5000 miles. I would stay away from oiled air filters too!

Welcome, I would get maybe the badges replaced first. Then change oil and do a run through with the maintenance.
