Just wanted to introduce you guys to my 2005 Mini Cooper S. I decided to get into the mini world by buying a mini that needs some work. Regardless I'll be posting more of its issues soon for some help. So if you see my post down hesitate to give some advice to a newbie.
Hi and welcome to the NAM family! A 05 Mini is one of the best Gen 1 Minis. (06 the other)
Tell us about your issues and we will help you get it the way it should be!(go to the gen 1 section to post that info)
Congrats on your nice looking 05 Mini S!
I'll will be fixing all the issues I have with the car. Just have to figure out what has to be replaced in order to make it right again.
Depending on where you are in Michigan we could do an in depth inspection and give you a detailed quote on all work needed, we have folks from all over the country either driving to us or shipping the car to us for service.

I appreciate the offer I really do. But I have a local shop that I take my jaguar to that I plan to look over it.
Jut bought my first MINI too - a 2005 Cooper S Cabrio. Has 130K miles on it, but hoping for a few
more years of motoring fun. I'm in Sterling Hts - hope to see you guys around, and might be asking some advice!
(Like: what should I do first on a 130K supercharged, stick shift car?!?)

Matteo, I would recommend an in depth inspection of the car to verify what you've got and what work may be needed.
As for mods; the list is near endless. You could start with a pulley kit (if it doesn't already have one) and that is about 20 HP, a larger rear sway bar will drastically improve the handling of the car, poly front control arm bushings would bring back and improve over stock the handling, intake, exhaust, short shifter, and so on!
We've got some openings this week if you would like to schedule an appointment for a look over and we can give you a plan of attack based on what you're looking to do with the car.
