First new Mini

Hey, first time new owner of a Mini. Yeah its a 2017 Countryman 'S' with the 2.0 & all wheel drive( Can I just put 4wd? ) If you all are ok with that ?
I have two Jeep wranglers & they are 4wd. Keeps everything straight.
Lapis blue and it is a blast to drive. I have been reading that the 'Countryman' is viewed by some like the red-headed step child of Mini's.
I can live with that, it is like with Jeeps, some people don't wave at Jeeps with square headlights.
My wife and I really like the Countryman, Plenty-o-power, it's motor is stout. I am impressed every time I drive it.
I have to be careful, I try to remember its a new motor, only 400 miles, and I have to break it in easy.
Great car, only thing I have a time with is there is no dipstick for the engine
oil ! I have come to live without a dipstick in transmissions, but come on, no dipstick with the engine ? I am having a hard time with that.
How do you all get by that ?

Glad I found this forum, I have a lot of questions, like where can I get a spare tire & jack ?

Anyhoo, this Mini lives is Southwest Virginia. ( about 220 miles away from the dealer) that's ok, I know where I can get a trailer if I need to take it to it in to the dealer, but from what I have read quality is way up on the 2017's .
glad to be here,
Have a good one

Welcome to NAM.

No you do not have a 4-wheel drive at least the CMS AWD that was in a recent tour I went on in mountains handled like no 4-wheel drive I have ever seen. Take the car up on the BRP and do some off-Parkway twisities with it.
