First Mini! R55 S Manual

Hey folks,

Just joined the Mini ranks with an R55 Clubman S Manual with 55K Miles. Going to be my daily for the commute in the Bay Area. Excited to have my first mini and get involved in the community here. I'm an avid poster on Audizine and NASIOC (I have a Forester STi swap and a B7 S4 Avant).

Mods to come on the Mini probably will be pretty basic. I most likely will go with an M7 tune, intake, and maybe muffler delete or a relatively inexpensive aftermarket exhaust option. Also looking into stickier tires for the winding roads of Mount Tamalpais. If any of you are in the Bay Area or in SF, I'd love to hang and drive and chat cars, so hit me up! Here are some pics:

Again, this is my first mini so any and all advice is appreciated!

See you all around!

-Nick (Hodge Podge)

Welcome that's a Great looking Clubman. We have one as our shop truck that we have done a ton of mods to. Check out our website as we have everything we did to ours available including tuning. You're gonna love this car.

Welcome.

Great looking car.

Lots of room in the back to fill with cases of wine from Paso Robles, after a nice drive down 1, and past Lake Nacimiento.

Motor On!

Welcome to NAM.

There is an immense amount of information here on your generator on Mini between the threads, the members and the vendors.

Thanks folks! Honestly haven't driven a FWD car as fun as this. Only thing that comes remotely close is a Fiesta ST, but the Fiesta felt a bit too plastic-y and cheap in my opinion. This feels like it was built by BMW. One quick question: So I want to snag a set of the Fog lights that sit on the grille, like the classic mini look. Any idea which ones are best? Should I go through Amazon or somewhere else?

Welcome. And congrats on the Clubman. You can go with factory rally lights if you like the oem look and hook up. You will have the factory switch button on the dash to the left of the wheel. They even have factory LEDs now, the older styles are halogen. Or you can get brackets and use a Hella 500 style which are much larger but will need a custom hook up and switch on the interior. We carry both. Good luck on whatever you choose.
