Signed up for forum cause I'm looking to order a Clubman in the next 6 months.
Using this forum for research so I don't spend money on wasted option and get whats mandatory.
Welcome to NAM! Hello from Harbor City! Good luck with your purchase. Hopefully you can make it out to one of our Coffee & Cars events with your newly acquired Clubman. We are having one this Saturday! The event details are in the "News" section. Or I can PM you the link if you're interested.
LOL all of them.
Think that's what appeals to me the most about mini.
You can get a fully loaded with every option car for other brand entry levels.
But in the end I'm trying to make wise decisions and sometimes the factory upgrades are not as good as aftermarket ones.
Plus trying to decide if I should Penny Pinch anywhere like to ALL4 or not.
Good news is I'm not in a hurry so planning on building vs trying to find one in stock that has most of the options I want.
Most of my alone time is spent in my car not it needs to have as many creature comforts as possible. It will be a commuter mostly and a canyon carver on occasion.
The styling on the clubman really appeals to me and I need the extra space. Transporting longer cases and such.
Looking forward to advise from current Mini owners. I have 2 friends who have 8 & 12 year old two doors but nothing with current options.

Looking forward to picking your brains.
I'd check out the JCW interior and exterior packages. Some really nice stuff and when done in bulk like that it really lowers cost as apposed to doing it piece by piece like I did. ( JCW interior / Exterior package not offered until recently )
If you plan on any rear bumper attachments ( bike/towing) there is a special option code for rear bumper prep that comes pre-wired with harness....most dealers FORGET to add these to the F model cars when spec'd out before delivery and very costly to try and add later.....(due to different rear bumper carrier support on frame )
Roof option for roof rack - ditto.
Navigation is light years ahead of where MINI used to be. One in new F models is VERY user friendly.
Every year MINI changes the option packages.....sometimes sunroofs included with a group package this year, but not on the next year...What are the current package offers now for this model ?

Couple comments just on my own findings that you may wish to explore further:
Dynamic Damper Control – Nice but don’t need Def research this out a bit and drive both if you can. With 18" wheels the ride can get a bit harder and the adjustable is supposed to make quite a world of difference in comfort.
Cornering Headlights-Nice but not really planning on driving twisty roads at night I initially didn't order these then changed my mind after reading a few posts about them and watching some videos.
18” Black Star Spoke-Want Got these as well because I liked them best. A surprise to me was the 18" wheel options only come with summer tires which don't last long (15 to 18K miles I'm told) so bear that in mind.
Power Front Seats- Only a must if the have more options than manual seats. I believe you get 4 way lumbar for both seats versus 2 way in manual as far as I know.
40/20/40 Folding Rear Seat –Don’t Care Probably not critical, but you don't get a fold down armrest in the back unless you get this option.
Alarm System-Want an alarm-but don’t know if the factory one is worth it. I'm just picky, but apparently you cannot set an audible confirmation that the car is locked (a beep) unless you option the alarm.
MINI Head-up Display-Want but hear it doesn’t work with polarized sunglass lenses. Just think it looks cool Most who get it say they can't live without.
Parking Assistant-Don’t need but if my wife ever drives my car it will be a nice option You can option in the packages to just get rear beep beeps or getting front and rear with the ability to park itself (seems like overkill in MINI)
The good news for my taking my time is orders placed July and later will now come with Apple play and The heads up display are now part of the technology package standard so the $1000 in upgrades I was considering is now included for the same cost.
