Hello form Houston, TX

Just purchased a 2006 MCS in Chili Red with 165K miles for $2800 but she drives like a newish car. Going to fix it up and give it to my daughter who will be 16 soon.

Original owner is an airline pilot who took good care of it for his wife. Clutch is 1.5 years old, newish brakes and serpentine belt and tensioner, oil changed every 5K miles with synthetic.

One of the rear speakers doesn't work and the vanity mirror covers are droopy and have to be held up for the light to come on. My daughter likes to look at herself.

Plan on changing the oil, brake fluid, and fix above problems. Address some paint chips on the hood and refinish the headlights to fix the hazing.

Car rides really well, the suspension is still taunt. Supercharger gives the car some pep.

Welcome to NAM. Have you performed a pressure test on the heads? This will give you a good idea about the top end of the engine.

The information you can access through NAM is pretty impressive between the threads, the members and the vendors.

Oh and the color of the car is not too bad.

Hi and welcome to nam!
Post up some pics and ask any questions you might have, to get that 06 S into shape.
Post your questions under first gen area.
The speaker most likely has rotted out cone. It will need replacing, as this is common in older cars.

Was installing a trickle charger lead to the battery to get the battery up to full charge so that I can do the compression test and noticed that there is some dampness on the passenger's side of the rear deck. Need to address this as well.

Check all of the rubber seals around the hatch. You should also check the weeps that drain the sunroof as if they plug up you get water inside and on the passenger side this messes up the control module that is down toward the floor board.

Welcome.

Sounds like a great car, lots of goodies on the build sheet.

Associated Venders will have the parts you need, speakers , seals, missing clips, *****, pretty much the works.

Red is the fastest color...

Motor On!
