Hello...

Hello everyone. My name is Sarah and I own a 2004 base model mini cooper(r50). I had always wanted one and I took the step 7 years ago. It was a used one. Had only one owner, that was an older man from North Carolina. Its a manual and what's funny is I apparently wanted the mini so bad, I bought it without knowing how to drive it. My dad looked it over and drove it to make sure everything was good though. Finally learned to drive it and I wouldn't go back to an automatic.

Welcome, also did the same. Bought a e36 325i manual and learned how to drive it on my drive home. No autos after that.

Welcome! Buying the manual was a good choice as the CVT in the R50's probably wouldn't have lasted this long and you would've ended up with huge transmission repair bill.

Congrats, good move not to get the cvt. Also the cvt feels slower and I like the 5 speed manuals.

Welcome and Congrats. Glad you got the Manual as they are so much more reliable than the Auto

Great purchase. Learning to drive a manual these days is impressive... and way more fun than an automatic. Way to go!

Post some pictures of your Mini when you get the chance.
