Buying a Mini, have some questions
Hello all,
I am looking at buying a mini, and I have a few questions about the 2 models and how the act on the road so hear goes.
I am looking at a 2013/2014 Countryman/Paceman I would like a S version, drove it and liked it, but wife want a base. I also like the 14 Mini 2 door hatch in either the S or base. So my question isThe 14 Mini hatch has a 134 HP with a weight of 2600# and the S has 189 with a weight of 2750#. That seams like the think is going to have the power I need to get on/off and get around on a expressway.
The countryman bas has 121 HP and a weight of 2954# while the S has 189 HP and a weight of 3053# For a bigger car, it has a smaller engine, with out tuning it or anything else, stock as it comes, the Base Countryman seams under powered. Am I just crazy?
Thanks for the help
PS
who do I contact to change my username? The FAQ says send in a request to change it. Who do i send it to?

No comment on your power to weight ratio question. That subject falls under individual needs. If you know exactly where the top of the power and torque curves are for each gear selection you can get just about any of them to do what you want. One member's signature is a quote:

Test drive them both. I'm a power and handling guy, so the more power to get out of trouble and away from the nimrods on the road, the better.
