First of all, I would like to thank you guys, This site is a great help for newbies like me.
I am sorry for my poor language skills, but finally I got the guts to join the community

It is three months now, since I've become happy r53 owner
I've been reading post from here - it is a great source of knowledge, especially about common problems with Mini.

Welcome, thats super clean. You have the super rare MINI wheels that most of the time I have seen used as winter wheels with snow tires. R88 wheels

 

Thanks guys. I'm doing my best to keep it clean. Silver Arrow is in mint condition as for 14 years old car - previous owner took good care of her.

As for rims - I bought MINI with those R88. The plan is to swap them with original R85 17 inch wheels, they look so cool!

I was forced to make One Ball Mod - both mufflers were coroded (the only issue so far) so I decided to replace them with new one made by BOSAL (belgium exhaust OEM manufacturer).

I'm thinking about some mechanical mods in coming spring - CAI, alta pulley, shortshifter...
But I have to be careful - my wife is becoming jealous

 

Welcome. Keep it clean and save the R88's for winter, the R85 are the most classic of MINI new wheels. They actually came in chrome also.

I would go with some R90's in anthracite If I was picking OEM wheels. Good luck with whatever you choose and again great R53.

 

Those are very nice pictures. Now I feel compelled to wash my car and take some pictures. Grrrr.
