Newby from BC

Hi all, i've just signed up on here,so thought i should intro myself. Name's Gary and i'm from Vancouver Island in BC (Canada). I' ve recently bought a 2012 Coupe, base (Chili Red). It is sweet! In the old days, my first car was a 1967 Austin Mini 850. We had a lot of fun in that one. Then i got a 1965 Cooper S 1250cc and it went like a stink! After the engine blew in that one, i got a clubman (i even forget the year!) it wasn't anything special, but satisfied my Mini craving. All these Minis were in the '70's. Well, after a very long time with no Mini, i just bought this one. What a difference eh! Totally modern. I know i'm going to love it. Hope to gleam a lot of info on here & hopefully, after a while, i can help someone also. See you around, Gary

Very nice! I never owned a classic Mini, but always did and still do think they are the coolest. I made a similar jump from a Datsun 2000 that I owned for 20 some odd years to a Miata. I really appreciate modern fuel injection!

Welcome aboard! My first three Minis were classics and now that I have an R53 I am very pleased with the upgrade. You have many years of grins ahead of you. Let us know what mods and upgrades, and/or service and maintenance you may need help with.

Welcome and congrats

The new MINI must feel so much bigger than driving the Classic. You picked a great color in Chili Red, I have the same color MINI also.
