My 2007 R56 Needs a New Motor - Help?
Hello -
New to this forum! My Son drove out to Denver and came up just 250 miles short with an engine that overheated and lost oil & coolant. Not sure which happened first but now looking at needing a new motor. Original Motor only had 58K original miles and everything checked out during pre-travel inspection etc.. Any Ideas on rebuild vs. used motor swap?

Sorry to hear about that! If you can find a good deal from a salvage yard and have a skilled mechanic available, the used engine deal might work. Problem is, I've found many used engines cost nearly as much, or sometimes more, than a new short block. The short block comes complete with a 2-year unlimited warranty. Hope this helps!
