I just bought my first Mini - 2004 Cooper. I was looking for a Mini Forum to join and found this one. I hope to learn a lot about my Mini along with hopefully making a friend or 2.

Right now I want to get rid of the run flat tires. The size is 195/66 R 16

Anybody have any suggestions?

I've always liked that pepper white color. That was my first choice but couldn't find the right car.

Very nice Cooper! Some details would be nice... interior and equipment. As far as the non run-flat tires, go to online to Tire Rack or Discount Tires Direct for info on tires. These sites have a lot of info/reviews on tires. There's enough info in those places to help make the best decision. Where do you drive? Lots of rain, very dry, chance of getting into any snow? Tires are one of the most important safety/performance bits on a car. So get the best you can, and there are a lot of different tire types to chose from. They will make a big difference how your Mini feels and drives.

If your Mini is a manual, think about 205/65 16 tires... if they will fit in the wheel wells. They should, but go into the the First Gen section and check with owners there.

I would suggest tirebuyer.com I think they have the best prices and shipping is free to an installer of your choice. I highly recommend them.

How's their site's research info? There are a bunch of sites out there that are great... guess I'll have to check out tirebuyer.

I'm actually not sure. I always knew what tires I wanted and would just go to that site to purchase them.

Hello, ditch the runflats and find a good non runflat. The pepper white is a great color , but sometimes hard to keep clean on the back, when i cleaned a pepper white MINI I had to use a clay bar and clay the back end in the spring. Tar and stuff get on there allot. And you can see it easy with pepper white.

Welcome to NAM, Johnny! Great looking R50, congratulations. For tires, are you looking for a dedicated summer tire or an all season (not sure if you have snow wherever you're located)?
