Just placed an order for a 2016 cooper s convertible (f57). While I wait the 2-3 months I thought I join the forum and ask about lowering it. I don't think anything is available yet since they haven't arrived but thought I check anyways. Does anyone know about any lowering springs available yet? Is it safe to assume that lowering springs will give me a softer ride than coil overs? I ordered with stock 16's because I'm not a fan of the larger wheels and wanted more of a classic look. Also, if/when springs and coil overs become available, what kind of drop can I expect from each? Thanks!

Hello and welcome.
None for the F57 yet, but NM and H&R are out for the F56 platform, I would guess based on that the rear springs would be a bit different based on the past R57 and R52

Welcome to NAM and congratulations on your purchase. Excited to see pictures of it once you pick it up. Hopefully someone will come out with springs/coils for your platform soon. The ride on lowering springs should be nice. Typically, I'd say roughly about anywhere from 1"-1.5" drop. Each company has different stats.
