New from SoCal, ? on transport to US

Hi!

I am nearly 2 months in the process, ordered my 2016 Clubman S with nearly all the toys back on Dec 19th.

Thank you sincerely to those that provided all the excellent info on tracking the progress of my new MINI. I have learned how true it is that the on-line app for following "where my baby is at", is all but worthless, and the IVR is just about the same. And also true is that the folks behind "Ask MINI", well some are very knowledgeable and helpful and some not so much. I am at the point that I feel I know more about my car then they do. Last week, using the WW Cargo Tracking website, I saw that my MINI was loaded to a vessel, only to soon go to "returned to shipper" status, I saw some postings with that status but never found out just what it means, I am guessing it is likely similar to an overbooked flight, someone gets bumped off. This week I was happy to see that I was again "loaded", and now that the ship has sailed, I am still showing the "loaded" status. But the IVR is still saying that I am at the port, awaiting a vessel. The "ask MINI" person I spent nearly 20 mins talking with yesterday, kept telling me that (despite giving her all the info I found on the WW site) my car was still at the port in Germany!! I tried to get her to understand that this was not really likely as it was assembled in Oxford, but oh well.

My question for those who have been through this process is this, the IVR still has me at the port, but the WW site shows my VIN is on the ship. Is it 100% certain that it is, or will I again go to "returned to shipper" (aka limbo)? My MA does appear to be able to get any better information from MINI than I have been able to.

Also, is there a free site for tracking the progress of the ship while it is at sea? All the ones I've found stop once the ship is out of range.
