You guys rock. I thought the support for my Triumph rocked. I'm overwhelmed with the help I've gotten!

Didn't know those clear tail lights were OEM. We were running around Boston quite a few years ago and happened to see a nice silver/silver, low miles, manual R53S on a dealership lot. It only needed some fasteners for the driver's side plastic trim and a little clean up. Metal/paint on the car was near perfect, had a sunroof and the clear tail lights. I figured they were aftermarket. Inside was in like new shape, so seat coverings probably not animal origin.

Really wish I would have bought it. The reason I didn't... at time, we still had the kids at home, so it wouldn't have been completely practical and my wife would have gone totally apoplectic if I had suggested adding another car to the pile at that time. A missed opportunity, for sure.

The lights are growing on me honestly. I didn't like them at first. That's pretty much exactly what happened with me too. I decided to sell my old car (first car and the one I learned on 8 years ago). A buddy who's a pro Craigslist browser sent me the link. It seemed too good to be true. But here she is

Yep the oem old school gen 1 days ones have those diamdem bulbs that are soldered into the brackets, there are some replicas from EBAY also, but you can tell by the Valeo markings or the bulbs. The Red flectors really tell me it was a dealer fitted aftersales upgrade. Cool piece of Gen 1 history.
