Greetings from the CA desert

Just replaced my 2011 Clubman S with a 2013 Cooper due to mechanical issues, and am having concerns now about reliability. The Clubman (96000 miles) started missing, and dealer reported that 3 of the 4 cylinders were misfiring. Recommendation was to replace all injectors, coil packs, and (I think) wires at a cost of $4200-4600. Seemed odd to me to have 3/4 of the system go bad at once. Anyway, now I have this new thing, and am wondering if MINI has incorporated British reliability as well as styling. I'm actually reluctant to drive the new one any real distance as a result. Any recommendations or advice will be most welcome.

Injectors, wires and coil packs for $4600. Wow. I wonder if there are any reputable indi shops in the Cali desert?

Welcome to NAM! I think you should track down a reputable MINI indy shop in your area for feature repairs. Use this site here to help with your search.

The non-S is more reliable due to the lack of a turbo.

O my. I replaced what you needed for far less than $1000.00 on Buzz and he is a JCW. Seriously! You should not be afraid to drive your car. They are very reliable.
