Greetings

Hello!

Just bought my first Mini! It's a Clubman, R55, manual, base model. I was looking for one that was bright blue, went down to Richmond to test drive this 2010 Red and Black Clubman and, well, bought it the next day.

Nice change from the 02 Ford E350 and Grand Caravan Sport we have. I have been looking for another vehicle for a long time to replace my 1991 Dodge Grand Caravan, went from truck to SUV to realizing we needed something that got better gas mileage. Didn't really like the sedans and so I took my wife to check out cars at CarMax last Fall. First thing she got into was a late model Mini - and she was sold.

So it took me a few months to get into the groove and start searching for a Mini. I saw one up in Jersey for about $3500 a month ago - 2011 with 194,000 miles on it. IT was in poor condition and my mechanic would not even consider it. The one in Richmond, while not blue, appeared to be a good deal and was the last used one they had.

Well, I can't get much goat and goose feed into to trunk of the Clubman, but I can get a few things from the feed store and there is room for three goats!

One question, have you successfully loaded 3 goats in your clubman?

Well, no. I only have two at present.

Maybe later this year!

Perhaps I should have gotten a convertible instead and then could have gotten more in.

Congrats, the clubman is a great golf car too! Having a clubman would be fun as a second MINI, as my clubs don't fit in the hatchback so easily!

From an E350 to a Clubby? I'm just going to throw it out there that I bet your new ride is funner to drive. If you need to move big things, that's what Uhaul is for.

Well, I am planning on seeing if we can fit the Mini in the back of the Ford for the next road trip.

And yes, it is quite a bit funner to drive!

I'll have to take some pictures later this week.

Still in the shop!

I put the Mini in the shop Tuesday to get some work done on it. They have replaced the brakes and the clutch, so today he said they want to drive it some more. The clutch came up b/c my oldest son said he did not like the travel on the clutch. Good thing I mentioned it cause I just figured it was like that!
