R53 Problems
R53 Problems
Hello, for some time now I've been struggling with a few issues on my 03 MINI Cooper Base. I'm more of a do it yourself kind of guy, and would love to hear what you guys think about my fallowing problems. I'm not to sure if any of them might be linked so let me know if its possible. My car has 160,000 mls. last tune up was 74,000 mls. has AFE cool air intake. Replaced the A/C, water pump, tensioner pully and belt at about 140,000 mls.
I'm experiencing a small like "hickup" when at idle. this happens at random intervals.
When I accelerate, my battery light comes on. I'll usually either back of the gas or shift, which will get ride of the battery light. if I don't the A/C and gauges shut down until I shift or back off the gas.
Recently my check engine light has come on. I checked the code and its the O2 sensor, but it usually turns back off after a day. it happens about 3-4 times a week.
