hello, all. my name is trish, i live and work in the bay area (california), and i am about to be the owner of a brand-spankin'-new built just for me R59. since this will be my first new car ever, i'm pretty excited.

this forum was recommended to me many times over on ask.metafilter, and it's been great lurking so far. i hope to have many excellent adventures in my speedy little car.

 

Congratulations! Your very first new car is always special. I hope your R59 has a quick boat trip. Post photos as soon as you pick it up. Did you see in the Forums there is a way you can track it's progress?

look who finally decided to show up!

she(?) got here yesterday with 6 miles on her, but still had to be inspected this morning before i could pick her up. she's beautiful. and you look up, and the sky is just… there. it's such a trip. i didn't ever think a car could make me this happy, but yeah. damn. it totally does.

i'll have better pictures this weekend, hopefully. YAY! and i gotta think of a name yet.

 

Very nice , those new gauge faces look almost as dark as the factory JCW ones, when I saw them in person they looked lighter. Anyway congrats and nice pics.

 

Congrats! I haven't been a fan of the R59s but in that color, with those stripe,s and wheels; it looks really good.

 

Congrats, koroshiya, your new MINI Roadster looks fantastic. My original order for my Roadster was Lightning Blue but changed it because the discontinued the Satellite Gray Lounge Leather. I still like that color. Happy motoring and please don't forget to wave. Can't wait for more pics.
