New with a 2013

Hi all. I am new here and not sure how this all works yet. I bought a new Countryman 2013 and love her! I do have a question: I had the protective coating put on and I vaguely remember them saying you don't have to wax the car. Is that true? Do you wax? I know, it is a personal question for just meeting me!

Don't know exactly what coating they put on your MINI but I'm guessing that never waxing your car would be a mistake. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
Wash it regularly. Don't let bird poop and the like etch into the finish. Watch that water is still beading. Also (every few months) after washing and drying, put your hand in a thin plastic bag and run your hand over the surface. If you feel small bumps you'll need to clay the surface to get rid of the contaminates and then re-evaluate if wax is needed.
