New (to me) '05 R52 JCW Owner in TN

Hello all. Figured I'd introduce myself. Just picked up a 2005 R52 Cabrio MCS with a dealer-installed JCW package. Picked it up with a blown head gasket (yay me...) and so I haven't been able to drive it at all yet. Infamous waterpump/sc failure. Head should be back this week, and all my gaskets, WP, and supercharger should be here next week. 126K on the clock, and in really good shape. Previous owner just didn't catch the water pump failure 'til it was too late. wish me luck! I'll try to add a picture soon.

Welcome to the MINIacs!

Yes, you are suffering from the pain of absence... With luck you got the car for a great deal and after getting it repaired it should give you years of smiles and uncontrollable giggles.

I really enjoy my R52, as I'm sure you will enjoy yours.

Happy Motoring!

Thanks man. It's been agonizing not being able to even know how it runs! Can't wait to drive it. My dad has an 02 MCS and loves his. When I came across this as a non-runner, I jumped at the deal...hopefully it turns out to be a sweet deal and not a sour one. I'm really looking forward to runnin' around this fall in it. Tons of twisties in my area to enjoy too, so I'm chompin' at the bit. Hopefully it'll be running next week...

Here's what it looked like about a day after I got it home...

Nice find with the JCW tuning kit ( engine ) on the R52. That was a pretty loaded R52.

Does not looks like its has the JCW brake kit or the JCW suspension kit ?

Good luck on the rebuild.

Good luck, looks like it'll be some effort but should be worth it in the end.
