R56 MINI auto transmission filter change

I have a 2008 base MINI Cooper with 130k miles on the clock. In spite of MINI's ridiculous 'sealed for life' auto transmission' position, I've changed the transmission fluid often.

However, it's past time to replace the transmission filter. Unfortunately, one of the transmission pan bolts is hidden under the front sub-frame. I don't have the time and equipment to disassemble the front of the car and take off the sub-frame to get to this bolt.

Does anyone know of a short cut? Can I release the engine mounts enough to lift the engine about an inch? Any advice appreciated.
