Hello Forum Folks.... Just Picked up my first mini. 2013 S Hardtop with 10 miles on it. After test driving an 06 S hardtop, an 09 JCW Hardtop, and a couple different 09-2011 Hardtops and Clubmans I decided I did not want to start with a car I did not know the history of and went with a new one. Is there a place one can steer me to with easy upgrades or common problems for the 2010-2013 Hardtops. When I drove home from the Dealership and in the Rain On Wednesday the engine did leave a little bit of white smoke and a slight burning smell after the trips. Today it was not as bad.... Noting that the car only had 10 miles on it when I purchased it has anyone else had these issues with maybe some polymer or plastic burning off. Other than that loving the drive.

 

I'm guessing you smelled paint burning off the engine -- a bonus for getting a ten-mile car Congratulations!
