for two weeks, i've been hearing a "growling" sound from the middle of my mini cooper hardtop. it occurs whenever i shift into second and accelerate into second as well. i don't know if it's bad gas (which i've emptied), an exhaust problem (2010 mini, 56,000k), bad plug(s), or bad fuel filter.

advice before i bring it into service.
