Bought a mini on a whim
my wife gave a few hints that she hates her car and 'saw the cutest mini convertible' so I stopped by the mini store to check them out and ended up ordering one for a Christmas present. Don't know much about them but the test drives where really fun. But I'm not sure if I nought the mini that my wife would like or if it bought the one that I really liked. Dealer said that it would be. 2014 but reading the 2014 convertibles aren't changing.
Keep reading that the JCW is a rough ride, didn't really notice during test ride. Is there much of a difference between that suspension and the regular suspension in comfort?

I tested a JCW Roadster and a Roadster S model. The JCW suspension and clutch felt noticeably stiffer IMO. Love the Pepper White!

Do you think the styling will be OK for a woman? I did the all-black wheels, black center stripes, blacked out headlamps, pepper white panels and dash. Craig's kinda right, I knew she would like the pepper white ,but by the time I got to writing up order with all the details I was kinda just thinking about my tastes.

If she likes it, well and good. If she doesn't like it, EXCELLENT!
Note that the JCW does not come with the JCW suspension. All models come with base suspension unless you order the Sport or JCW options. The JCW suspension is a dealer-installed option that doesn't come on the car from the factory, so I'd imagine the OP's test drive did not include it. I've never seen a dealer-ordered MINI on a lot that included it.
I have the JCW suspension and totally love it.

Woman #2 chiming in. I'm currently waiting for my pepper white JCW with sport stripes and black wheels to be built. So from a woman's point of view - you're going to make her very, very happy. And like the saying goes - happy wife, happy life. Excellent present!
Congrats. Think the black R112 JCW Challenge wheels on pepper white also looks good or most any factory black wheel. Switching the run-flats to non run-flats after you take delivery will help with the ride. Sounds like its going to be great. Post up some pics if you have the screen shot of the build or when you get it.

She loved it! It looked hot!
Turned lots of heads, she's now in a JCW coupe, she sometimes misses it.
Nothing sexier then a women driving a hot looking car in my opinion.
