Another first time MINI owner - CooperS Convertible

Hi there!

I just got my first Mini last month. I am still debating how to make it look a bit more fun. It's a 2013 Pepper White S and I am totally enjoying the ride! Have been driving a minivan for years so its a great change. This car has mini connected and the nav system, so I've been having fun with all that too.

What do you think? Black stripe with Checkered mirrors (side & rearview) or chrome mirrors and white bonnet stripes??

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the forum!

I'm partial to black viper stripes, but the white-on-white stripes (still think they should be in the middle) would look very sharp as well. Check out the various pics in the Pepper White thread and elsewhere for ideas.

MINIs are all about personalization, whatever you like is what matters. Just drive it, and don't forget to wave! Best wishes.

Thanks KennyR! I definitely am leaning toward the black viper stripes, not sure if the checkered mirrors are "too much" with that. I looked at the Pepper White group but didn't see any white on pepper white stripes. I will try searching again.

Topless motoring is motoring at it's best. Here are a few URLs that I've found useful over the years.

http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?
http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html
http://www.lightinsight.com/ (you really want one of these!)
http://www.mightystripes.com/ (more stripe options)
http://www.motorcycleroads.us/index.html (where to find the best roads)
http://soopercooperinfo.com/

Don't know if you got one but you will enjoy motoring much more with a wind deflector. Also, Ragg Topp or 303 are the best choices for taking care of the canvas. Griot's Garage has a great tire repair kit, comes with a bag with room for a few other handy items like an extra qt of oil and other cleaning supplies at http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...ortby=ourPicks .

+1 I really like the wind deflector.

There are two different deflectors for the R57 MINI Convertible Once I installed one in my convertible , one of the best simple upgrades to keep the wind out on cool summer nights. Also great on reducing the wind baffle , you can talk to someone sitting next to you.

Checkered version has little storage areas. Both come with travel storage bags.

Good luck and hope many miles of top down motoring.

mods to my mini...

I do have the wind reflector, I am not sure which version I have. I'm ordering some things from GOBADGES to spice up the inside. Will definitely get the black Viper Stripe and probably the checkered side mirrors. Still debating the Chrome Bonnet Scoop....I'm even considering getting leather seats since I've got the carbon leatherette. A beautiful cream to match Polar White, maybe??

The pictures are above of the wind deflectors, to tell which one you have. Did not see it in your pics. A must have for convertible.

Here are the black viper stripes (sport stripes) for the front and rear. Part #

Dual Sport Stripes - Black

The checkered Mirror caps, there are two options , make sure your get the correct ones as there is power fold in and non power fold in mirror. You will know if you have power fold in mirror if you can turn the mirror adjustment switch on the driver side door all the way to the left or right, and they fold.

Non power fold in mirrors:

How hard to DIY?

How hard is it to do all these mods myself? I'm not sure I trust myself to apply the stripes perfectly straight, but the bonnet scoop & mirrors I could maybe handle...

What about chrome or black driving lamps? I love the sportiness it adds to my front end.

Those driving lamps are really good looking - need to get going on all this next week! I will post photos when it's all complete. Probably going with black viper stripe, checkered side mirrors and possibly checkered door handles with black driving lamps...

Check out the thread for the New Official Peerage of the Pepper White. It;s our official Pepper White owner's club. Show a picture of your cabrio and request a membership number. I'm #817. Your MINI would make a very good-looking addition to our group.

I like the hood stripes, but the white on the mirror caps doesn't match the cars paint? Ultimately it only matters that you like it :-)
