Possible new owner

Hello all,

I took the wife shopping for a new vehicle this weekend, and we were very impressed with Minis.

Having 0 experience with these cars we spent a half day driving different versions.

In the end, we are considering a new Clubman Cooper S or Paceman AWD.
We reside in Colorado so FWD w/ traction control or AWD is very important.

Any idea on pricing (ie, discounts off MSRP) you folks have paid is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

just picked mine up today. Got a Clubman S (2011). Actually originally looked at a Countryman (which is just a 4 door Paceman) and loved it, but loved the Clubman just a little bit more (the way it drives). Not sure on the new car discounts. Might have been some stuff with Labor day, but I didn't see anything. Good luck!

Use Costco Auto Purchase Program

I used the Costco auto purchase program - the cost was $750 above factory for a 2013 Paceman S - Mini of Las Vegas. At the very least, these programs (there are others - but I have used Costco three time now with good results) let you avoid the really unpleasant price negotiation. (You don't escape the finance manager pressure unfortunately - you get pressure to buy extended warranty and maintenance programs.)

Thanks for the advice.
What I have learned from doing some on-line research is 5 to 10% off retail is considered okay.
To me this still seems high, however these little buggers seems to sell pretty well.
Wish me luck.

I saw discounts for 2013 models advertised between $1,000 to $1,500 at MINI of Sterling. The Clubman S is a nice looking vehicle. I think it looks more like a traditional MINI than the Paceman or Countryman.

Visit miniusa.com to see a lot of special offers on 2013 models. It is clearance time. You can also configure one the way you want it there and/or find the websites of local dealers for discounts on local inventory.
