Hey everyone. Finally pulled the trigger on my first Mini -- 2014 Convertble S, Highclass Gray. Ordered on 16 August, now patiently (ok, fine, not-so-patiently) waiting for status to change to Scheduled For Production. Looking forward to running with the crowd, unless the anticipation kills me.

Thanks folks! I'll be in and about for reassurance, I'm sure. It's difficult for me to remember that I only started the process a little over a week ago -- I've waited a long time to take the plunge on this one, so of course I want everything to happen instantaneously. Add in the fact that this is the first new car that I've bought for myself in over 13 years -- you kind of get the picture.

 

The wait will be worth it, you won't be sorry. Nice to have you with us.

 

So, here's the output of the Mini configurator for my beast -- since I won't be able to take pix for at probably a month or so.

 

That is a very hot machine. The wheels are very sporty. Let us both patiently await the arrival of our Dream Machines.

 

I recently saw the Highclass Grey in person at my local MINI dealership. It was way more interesting in person. This will be a fantastic combination. I can't wait to see the first pics.

My dealer didn't have a car in the color, so I just got to see the smallish paint sample. I was good to go with that -- I really liked the undertones that I saw. It should be very interesting in different kinds of light.

 

Yah, those wheels just called to me. I think they really made the package -- not completely subtle
