Rejoining after 4 years!

After selling my 2005 JCW , I am now in the market for a used MINI. I know nothing of the newer turbo models as regards reliability (the 2005 and older seemed to have a bullet-proof motor). Mileage for mileage, is a supercharger or turbocharger the way to go?
Thanks fellow miniacs.

Go drive both again and see which you prefer. Get the newest model of either the R53 or R56 that you can. Good luck and welcome back.

Yea go give both a drive and see which suits your needs. Also the Supercharged motor and turbo feel a bit different when you give it the beans. See which you like best.

Welcome back to NAM. I would have to agree with Braminator. Drive both again and then make your decision. Whatever you choose, just don't forget to wave.
