A Virginia Hello!
A Virginia Hello!
After a 2010 Cooper S traded in for a GTI, I have finally made it back to the much-missed world of Minis!
I now have a 2008 Cooper S that's going to need a fair amount of loving (Brace yourselves, so many questions to come) - I'm starting with its badges and Bonnet Stripes that've seen some wear any tear.
So - Hi from Virginia, and any recommendations on how to fix a cracked bonnet stripe? Or is it time to teach myself a thing or to about removing and adhering new stripes?
And for a future move - these wheels are going to be changing soon, so I welcome all recommendations
Thanks!
Charlotte/DvlInsd
Oh, and here's Sterling, day 1

Hello Charlotte welcome to the NAMily! So nice to have you back in the fold with the acquisition of your MINI, Sterling!
Cracked bonnet stripe huh... well my recommendation would be to remove the old damaged stripes and apply some new ones... can't save old vinyl I'm afraid. It's not hard but to do and I know that there are threads here on NAM that detail "how to"... a search will no doubt turn-up what you need.
Thanks for posting pics of Sterling and we all look forward to seeing those changes as they happen (e.g. new wheels, etc.) so don't forget to post up those pics, cause we love pics... yes we do!
May you and Sterling share many miles and smiles together!
Motor On!
