New CM owner

Greetings!

Just picked up our 2013 Countryman yesterday. Only 75 miles so far, but love the car! Glad to be part of NAM and looking forward to learning lots of 'stuff' from all of you.

Tom

No pics yet - hopefully today, weather permitting. It's been a bit wet here in Georgia, but the sun is trying to come out.

It's pretty much a base model Countryman, from dealer inventory, red to match my wife's Z4 and my BMW R1200RT motorcycle. I can say for sure that the dog loves it. With the rear seats folded down, he can lay on them and see outside. He usually sleeps while traveling, but he was awake all the way from Atlanta, just looking out the windows!

It's our first Mini, so I'm full of questions - beware!

Ah so this is interesting. I know some folks compare the BMW X1 with the CM when making buying decisions. Obviously you are a BMW household. I'm curious if you considered both and then chose the CM. We briefly looked at the X1, and well, it's a BMW SUV-a fine vehicle, just not very interesting. The CM is so unique in so many ways, there was no contest in our opinion.
