Just wanted to say hi, Ive finally bought my first mini. I found a clean 02 MCS with just under 13,000 miles. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not buying one sooner. They are a blast.

 

an 02 with 13K miles ? Was it owned by a dead person ??

Congrats on your new MINI, but I have to ask the same question as CR&PW&JB. It was a 2002 with 13,000 miles?

Yeah an older couple owned it since new. it was actually like the 118th vehicle the dealership sold back in 2002. They traded it in for a BMW. I had just put a new waterpump on it the previous week before they traded it in. Ive been driving its wheels off and tracked it twice. Now begins the fun adding some HP.

 

I just sent the head,cam and intake to Thumper yesterday and my dme is off Monday to mynes. My header is in the mail as we speak.

If it's 13,000, wow!

 

It had 12,895 on it When I bought it. Ive been driving the wheels off it since and just broke 20k. Ive got it torn down for some much needed mods atm. Wish I would've bought one years ago honestly.

 

I would still like an answer this CR&PW&JB's question, baznight.

 

Haha no they were still alive when they drove off in a new 3 series. Honestly I wont be working on the car anymore but they will be on my Christmas list.
