Ginger has arrived!

We ordered on April 24th and just got her today! Came over from England on the California Highway. Had a real nice drive this evening before we had to park it for the night. Loved having the top down, love the interior, the way it handles is amazing. The power is great - what a car!

Here are some pics. I found it hard to come by online pictures of Spice Orange convertibles with Toffee Leather interior and piano black on the dash/doors. hope these images help someone else. I had viper stripes added locally because dealer could not get them - they were great about arranging the local graphics guy to get it done. Can't say enough good about my MA at Grayson BMW/Mini. Ask for Jon and he'll do a great job for you.

Plans to trade out the chrome trim on the bonnet with new headlight surrounds and grill surrounds. Got them in hand already and may install tomorrow. Kind of like the chrome look though - with the black out headlights- we'll see after install if the black works better

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. I haven't seen the Spice Orange and Toffee combination before either. It's nice to have something that could be one-of-a-kind. Thanks for the great pics. You interior is exactly what I will be getting on my Roadster. Thanks for the previews. It looks great.

It looks great!

If you haven't thought about blacking some of the chrome, I am in the middle of doing mine. Looks great on the Spice Orange. Just a little food for thought.

It would look great either way though! Love the toffee.

Great Looking Mini!!! How many days did it take between arriving at Port and getting to Grayson? We have a Roadster on order from Grayson but it is still waiting to be loaded on a ship.

California Highway arrived in Brunswick the 2nd (Thursday) and car arrived at Grayson in Knoxville on Thursday the 9th. 1 day to Viper stripe and picked her up on Friday! So about 7 days total

Thought I'd sahre some luggage we bought for our new Convertible Cooper S
There is a set of custom luggage available to fit the (real small) boot that the convertible has BUT we wanted something unique and durable
This is what we bought and they are suprising large inside, very well made, lot's of extra pockets for storage, Come with a heavy duty shoulder strap and when installed in the boot, leave even a little room above
Fitting them in requires turning them bottom first, then dropping them down. First put one in, then pull it tight to the left or right - they are snug because the boot is not square on the base but has a "jog" in each corner. You'll have to gently tug the dog bags into each corner BUT they fit!
. . . and they are only $50 each for a "his and hers" set

MT45 & fbeeler,

Grayson in Knoxville, TN? I did not get mine there tho would have BUT Bill Robbins was super to work with me thru my whole buying/researching process. I consider him my MA.

Are/do you guys plan to get involved in the local Mini Club (assuming you are in the E TN area)? Met lots peeps at MOTD who are in VERY active clubs. There were folks there from all 'walks of life'.

I would so love to get involved. Let me know.

\m/

BTW, love the luggage.

Fantastic looking MINI! Congrats!

One word of warning... after my first trip in my new roadster with 6 hours of sunny topless motoring, I can tell you that your first accessory should be a ballcap and SUNSCREEN for the tops of your thighs and your forearms!

Yes - wife and I are eager to get involved. Daughter headed off to college will give us some more time "just for us" - looking forward to it. Next Grayson mini event is June 8th I think and we plan to be there

I had already "pre-ordered" the trim pieces for grill (top and bottom), headlights and tailights . . . so this morning while the missus was still sleeping, I went outside and traded chrome for black - love the new look and with the viper stripe, I think black is a better feel/look? Agree?

Great!!! Keep me posted for I have the attn span of a nat so I might forget!!! lol lol The few folks I have talked to at Grayson have been super!!! Bill was very patient with me allowing me to test drive about every car they had. I felt bad not getting it from them BUT he helped 'supervise' the purchase I did make!!!

You should really consider the MOTD (tho I HATE the Dragon!). Yea, I know it is a year away but there will not be any rooms left at the lodge. Might think about getting on the list even if you do not know if you will go or not. I went the last two days this year & ended up having a good time tho did not learn crap about my car!! lol lol

I LOVE LOVE your car! Orange was the 1st color I was considering.....now kind-a-of makes me wish I had gotten it!!

Look forward to meeting you empty nesters!!!

With so few of us, a Lounge Toffee Interior support group might be more fitting.
