I had to order mine, too -- from MINI of Mount Laurel -- and for the same reasons: very few manuals in stock and none with the colors & options I wanted.

I ordered on 3/29; it's due to arrive in NY on 5/2 and possibly at the dealership a week later.

 

Ya, I would have figured they had a better selection for drivers. The few manuals they had were pretty stripped, maybe aimed at low price point drivers?

Welcome to NAM and congrats on the new MINI. I found that dealer stock was dried up and not much interesting to choose from. That would be why I ended up ordering and glad I did.

 

Congrats! What dealer did you order from? I ended up getting mine from Prestige. After looking at a few options I wanted, it became clear very quickly that I was going to have to order my car. I agree with you, far too many autos these days.

 

I ordered through Morristown Mini. I had a good experience but from what I was reading here I'm wondering if Prestige would have been a better choice? I guess we'll see once my Mini comes in and the first service, it's a lot easier for me to get to Morristown instead of Bergan County.

 

I'm thinking there's so few in stock since the manual is so much fun! Good luck and sorry you have to wait!

I test drove a roadster with an auto and it wasnt doing it for me. Too bad, it was a great price on a '12 leftover. I'm very happy with the one I got though

Welcome, I have to agree dealer stock is the worst. It seems like the dealer don't know what options to order for their lot and don't know what people really want in their mini's.

Gah!! The wait is killer, supposed to finish build tomorrow. Hopefully will make the boat on Sunday.
