How quickly does a Mini get booked on a ship after production end (specifically WW)?

I'm wondering what sort of delay there is after production is completed before it is booked onto a ship. Say, for instance, my car completes production this Friday 5/3 (completely made up date, I assure you!). When would it actually get booked onto a boat? Right then? After it arrives at the port? after it's been sitting at the port?

Thanks in advance!

In my case, my car was finished last Thursday, booked on Friday, and sailing out of Southampton harbour on Sunday.

That's probably the best-case scenario. From what I've seen, it varies depending on the ship schedules and where your car is going.

Port Hueneme. West coast. WW has a boat that leaves next Wednesday (may 8). My car is supposed to be completed may 3. I'm hoping I make that boat. I don't think I have anything that should hold it up; should all be done at the factory (ie no stripes, etc)

Mine was on a ship within a few days. I was kinda surprised how quickly it was on a ship after hearing the stories of cars sitting there for weeks waiting. I think it is gonna be rather random and a bit of luck if your car goes smoothly from production to transport within a few days, but it is possible.

I also read those stories. I hope everything goes smoothly as I could really use the car ASAP!

Thanks for the responses, everyone!

I'd start checking the WW site for your VIN the day after production is supposed to be complete. Mine was on there the very next morning. Sometimes, however, a car is booked on a ship and then doesn't make it on board, so there's no guarantee until the shipping status changes to "Loaded on vessel". Hopefully you'll be in luck!

Mine finished on the 19th and I'm still waiting in Bremerhaven too. I've heard Germany is nice so I can understand their reluctance to get over the pond.

It could be Bremerhaven. I have an R56 coming, so I expect it to be coming from Southampton. Sounds like Southampton is a smooth operator
