New owner/ forum member from houston tx. I just bought a 03 r53 chili red. 40k miles. Installed a 15% pulley over the weekend, fun stuff. Ordered new rubber all around ie bushings and joints and such, I'll probably do that next weekend. I'm pretty knowlageable about cars but new to mini's so I really appreciate the wealth of info on this forum. I've owned lots of nice cars in my life, and at one time was a hater of mini's, my buddy told me if i drove one it would change my mind. He was right, this is absolutely the funnest car to drive I've ever had.... I can see my wallet getting suckered in to lots of future mods, Houston we have a problem! lol

 

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new MINI. I remember test driving a MINI, and afterwards, a friend asked my what I thought. I told him that it had been a very long time since I drove a car that was that much fun. Enjoy.
