Just bought an R53 in British Racing Green last month. It's the first car I've owned, not including my Wife's car, for 4 years (I've had a dealership demo car so no need). I wanted a good, economical, track capable car that was affordable to mod. I lucked out a little because the car I bought has some tasteful and effective mods already. Dinan airbox, WMW 15% pulley, modded headlights, different wheels, body matched mirrors, etc.
Anyway, went to the track last weekend and it was surprisingly quick. My brother's 911 C4S is quicker but on the back straight at PIR, he was pulling on me at a respectable pace, not just blowing past me which made me feel good about my car choice.
