First mini

Hey guys after much time has passed I have received my first car ever, just turning 16 and all and I am quite happy to say it is a mini. I have always heard about the close knit community mini owners have, so I wanted to be a part of that. My first car is a Mini cooper countryman 2012 brand new 0 miles absolute black with black roof black housing lights (xenon lights and white turn signals come with this) 17" black rims, and satellite radio. It is a non S . but still a mini right? Anyways I really want to add driving lights and put some custom paint job i really am liking the green like this. Well anyways this is my first post thanks guys. Let's motor!

Haha thank you all! I remember I always wanted a mini when Italian jib the movie came out. Never thought it would happen though. The sad part is that here in texas everyone specializes in pickup trucks so finding a mini place is hard. If there are any south texans out there that know of a place. Please pm me or reply to this thread.

you would have been about 6 when that came out. Why did you go for the Country man then? Why not the hatchback? Just curious

Well my dad has a camaro and i am always squished in the back and they saw that. So they went with a four door. After that it came down to the countryman or clubman, and I am not really fond of the clubman (sorry if you have one), so the counrryman was next in line. Also yes I was about that age. The only thing I do not like very much is the chrome exterior parts.

Also initially I was looking at the bayswater mini cooper but the seat had to be all the way back for me to drive it, and with recent events it has shown that I will need a backseat. Especially giving teammates a ride. Also if you have seen the mini beachcomber that was the one that I really thought was cool, but it is still a concept

Congrats and it's a beautiful car! Glad it's serving you well so far.

As for the chrome bits, do some searches on NAM for plastidip and Joey mod and I think you'll be surprised how easy it is to change those pieces. I know MINI also sells OEM black headlight/taillight rings for the cooper hardtop, so I would figure that would apply to the countryman as well.

Best of luck and enjoy!

Thanks for the advice on the chrome, but I think the countrymans backlights are different because of the way they curve. But I might be wrong. I am just going off pictures.
