I waited rather impatiently for FIVE years and I am now a Mini owner! Finally wore my husband down (last teenager needed a car and my hated van was more than willing to do the job) so of course, I need a new car!
After scouring the used market and finding that anything with low mileage was still going to be expensive, we decided to purchase a 2013. From the mini site, I put together my dream car (almost... he nixed the convertible then he refused the 2 seater). We sent the "dream car" build to 4 dealers and the first phone call response is where we chose to do business! They were able to find my dream car in MA and shipped it down. A few minor changes and I go my car in 3 weeks (they are 4 hours away). Since then, unfortunately, I have spent quite a bit of time looking at the cool things I can customize...;. like checkered side stickers, maybe a see thru checkered vinyl for the roof glass, checkered rearview mirror) Bascally, I have become checkered obsessed. I already changed out the side mirrors. Everytime he walks by my computer and sees what I am looking at he says "really" in that superior voice.... Really I am not obsessed, I just like the checkered pattern, whats wrong with that??

 

Nothing wrong with that, it's your Mini, you get to fix it up how you want it.
