Hi Mini-lovers! I'm pretty new to all this. I've had my '09 Mini Cooper since last September and there's pretty much nothing about it that I don't love. (Except for the Seatbelt Gong, that I could live without) Just thought I'd introduce myself, I plan on doing plenty of modifications in the near future, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, so you'll definitely be seeing me around.

I'm from South Florida and have yet to find any clubs or meets down here, would love to meet any of you, if you guys are out there!

Welcome fellow Floridian. If you say SoFl I assume you mean the east coast. Check out MoM (Minis of Miami) on SSM (sunshineminis.org)

There is a very active sports car club in FL called the Ecurie Vitesse Sports Car Club (EVSCC). I was a member years ago ('67 '68) and they are still active. You can get in touch with them at

Attached is yours truly in his much younger kit competing in the 'Summerland Slide Autocross' Feb 18, '68.

Oh yea, +1 on the waving. Back in the day, all sports car people waved at each other. I never had the top up (drilled holes in the floor boards for drainage) and always waved with a power fist. Roadsters/dropheads were and are the best.

I'll definitely remember to wave. Personally I'm a fan of the two finger (Dad rides a harley, it's where I learned about road camaraderie) and thanks for the link Fly N' Brick, I'll have to check it out.
