Hello "Mini" family,
I just bought my first Mini. After riding in my friend’s Mini Cooper Countryman I instantly felt a youthful and exciting ride. My other vehicle is a '12 Toyota FJ Cruiser and with the long commute to work and daily driver I needed something more fuel efficient and fun to drive.
After 2 months of contemplating wither I should buy one, I decided to would wait for the right deal to come. Since this will be a second car I searched for a pre-owned vehicle. After visiting several dealership the last store let me drive one over the MLK weekend holiday. BIG mistake! That Monday evening when I had to return the vehicle I was already emotionally attached to the Mini.
Needless to say the vehicle was a fresh trade-in and I was able to buy the vehicle below "book-value" and before any dealer reconditioning(added mark up). I had a mechanic look at the vehicle and all the vehicle needed was maintain work and its ready to hit the streets. But for added security I bought a extended warranty.
Since my fiancée will be driving this vechile as well I had to buy an automatic. But with this automatic, I am very impress with the response of the vehicle with and without using Sport mode and S-shift.
I am now a proud owner of a 2008 Mini Cooper S!
