New Roadster Owner

Greetings, first time Mini owner and now a fanatic. On Linkedin someone wrote that mini isn't a car, it's a way of life. I completely understand. I got mine in July of this year and have finally added stripes. What do you think?

Here's before:

too much, or ok?

As an owner of a red roadster with black stripes, I'd say its just right!

That looks just right. Personally, I think the roadsters look much better with stripes anyway. And welcome to MINIdom!

I think every MINI looks better with stripes, your Roadster certainly not excluded. Looks verrrrry nice.

On the side stripe... (custom?).... I would have installed it about 4" higher to put some Chili Red between it and the side skirt. Would stand out mire. But maybe you were trying to keep it more subtle.

Fully Custom

It's Interesting you mention raising the stripe. I thought about doing that and tried it on a couple of drawings I made. I just didn't like it as much, and the group that did the work (X-Treme Graphics in Lombard, IL) recommended putting it flush against the bottom.

Not that I didn't steal almost all the ideas, but they did everything custom based on my drawings. The one added piece was the S on the hood, which was my wife's idea. I like it a lot, though some say it's a bit over the top. Thanks for the comments I really appreciate them!

That "S" is nowhere near over-the-top. But you will have to answer the question, "what does the S stand for?" about a kajillion times.
