Hello everyone, I'm Eric. no stranger to cars or forums. But a complete novice to minis. I just bought my 2004 mini cooper s today and stumbled across this forum. I know its not a brand new car, but it's new to me and so far i love it! I look forward to browsing and learning.

2004 MCS manual with factory nav, h/k sound system, no mods yet.

Any suggestions as far as maintenance or refreshing i should do. Nothing is going wrong or acting strange at this point.

 

Mileage? General condition? Service done to this point?

 

57xxx miles to me it seems excellent condition. Unsure of service apart from a recent oil change. I was just wondering if I should go through and change various fluids such as supercharger oil and manual transmission oil and what not.

 

Did you have any type of mechanical inspection done before you bought it? Are you doing any work yourself or independent mechanic or MINI dealership?

 

it had the state inspection only, and it came from a dealer. i would be doing the work myself because i have some skill and am adept at such things. Just wondering if there were some things to do when purchasing a new/old car
