Primarily 76. Shell as the only other alternative.

 

Chevron for me. I've been reading about how the cleaners never make it to the intake valves, but eh... it's gotta help somewhere. I didn't put anything but Chevron in my G35 the 7 years i owned it. My mechanic said i had one of the cleanest engines he's come across. Guess that says something.

I will say i've been using Costco gas since it's been so expensive lately. I've switched back to Chevron though. Might use Costco once every 3 tanks.

 

I've been using Chevron ever since I picked up the car mid-2010. This AM, i decided to try Shell.

@Ra2 - are u still using the AP? If so, what stage are u running (based on ur sig, its stage 3) and how long have you been running it? Just put the DP last Sunday and right now mine is on stage 2. ALTA let me know I'm good to run stage 3 but haven't done it yet? Just want to get your opinion an if you've had any issues at all.

Funny you ask. I have a friend who runs stage 2 when he's cleared to run stage 3. I've had it on stage 3 a week of running stage 2. Have been on stage 3 for about.....little over 4k miles now. Haven't had any issues whatsoever. No super knock, no pings, nothing.

 

LOL. Yeah I've been quite hesitant to change but it hasn't been a week yet. I'll prolly mess with it later. Thanks!

I started to think about it more, and I think it's been anywhere between 4k-6k miles on stage 3. But yeah, he's on stage 3 now.

If you have a LSD, power to the ground would be improved.

 

I'm def gonna update to stage 3 before I leave for work today then. I've noticed some torque loss in stage 2 but better on top end, it just pulls a lot harder now. Haven't really tried getting on it from a complete stop but stage 2 has been pretty awesome.

No LSD for me. Dang-it!

I wish I can join and I have been waiting for something like this. Will not be available in next 2 weekends.... bummer..

 

In Chicago right now plus car is in the shop. Went into look mode last Friday and not sure why. Dealer gonna call me tomorrow for update. Hopefully it will be fixed under warranty and ready when I get back.

Would've love to go for a drive!
