Indeed! Both of our Minis should be in NY by 10/3. I'll probably pick it up on the 2nd week of October. That's a long drive for you, but I bet when you drive your Mini back home, it'll be one exciting/fun drive.

Glad to know that you and your wife are enjoying/loving your Mini. Of course, who wouldn't fall in love with such great cars! :-)

The Topeka is out of range already. Will have to wait for at least five days for it to reappear.

Just noticed from the WW website that the Topeka's arrival in NY will be a day later than was originally scheduled. :-(

Went to marinetraffic.com and found out that Topeka is in Brazil. Brazil and not in Halifax? How in the world would it end up there?

I looked closely and realized that this Topeka is a Maltese ship. Whew, that was a relief! :-)

I guess the "real" Topeka is out there in the North Atlantic and still out of range.

Be patient, I tell myself.

Now, if only I could go back to sleep...

The Topeka (the real UK-Topeka, not the Maltese-Topeka) is about 1,000 miles from Halifax. It's getting closer...

After almost hourly updates ( well, really daily), now no info for almost a week. Did your car fall off the boat while being unloaded??

Sorry guys, it's back to work again this week and it's quite busy.

RSchleder, I hope my car didn't fall off the boat. That would be a tragedy.

czar4, good for you. As of today, my dealership has not received the car yet. I asked my MA why it's taking so long (it's been a week now), he told me "I guess it was one of the first vehicles to arrive at port because it has still not arrived". I don't know what he meant by that.

I hope nothing bad happened to the car while it was in transit, to cause this delay.

This afternoon was an exciting one: I finally saw her in person at the dealership! Too bad, I couldn't take her home yet. :-(
"Next week", my MA told me. More waiting....

At least yours is there. I must have been misinformed but today was told it would arrive on Monday. Just doesn't seem to make sense. I'm 50 miles or so outside manhattan. Can't see that it would take long to truck it here...

That's quite a distance/drive. My MA told me that my car must have been one of the first to be loaded on the boat and one of the last to be unloaded. I guess yours was loaded way ahead of mine. I hope this is the case and my MA's hunch is correct.

Well, at least you had the chance to ogle the many shiny MINIs at the event. And I hope you enjoyed the snacks and drinks.

Wow. Over a week between when the car came in and when the dealer had it ready to turn over to you. Unless you have a slew of dealer-installed options, I can't imagine why it should take that long.

I also can't imagine why my car hasn't yet arrived at the dealer a week after it was released to the carrier. I know my dealer has received other shipments from the VDC this week. Could the carrier really be that backed up or is my car riding around the countryside?

My MA told me that they had to redo the clear bra because they made a mistake the first time. The car would be ready by Sunday, but sine they're closed on Sundays, I will have to pick her up on Monday.

I hope your car gets to you soon.
