Hey folks,

Is this the place to be? I had trouble finding an active Mini forum. Fate helped a bit. I'm pretty much a DIY'r so I needed a place to get help along the way. I had been to a couple other forums and they seemed a bit. . .quiet.

Harley0711 saved our butts a few days ago. We were at a gas station and the Mini wouldn't start after fueling. Long story short, I got out the iPhone and googled the issue. (The tow truck was on its way). I searched "2008 Mini Cooper won't start", and up came his post about the clutch switch possibly falling off. Sure enough, there it was. I popped it in and canceled the tow truck. Thanks for that Harley!

So, that is how I found this forum. I needed to join, if for no other reason, to say thanks. So, thanks!

Here's a random tip that you might find useful.

When searching this forum I use Google. Just add "site:northamericanmotoring.com" to the other search words.

This forum has been pretty good to me. And if you look at my # of posts and the fact that I joined this month, I've been pretty active here

I imagine I'll calm down once I finally have my MINI where I want it...but that will be a while...and a lot more money that I don't have
