Welcome, Fred !

Lived in OKC in 1994-95. Stationed at Tinker AFB. Loved OKC, lots of good people there. Helped out with the clean up after the McVeigh/Murrah Federal Building bombing. Lots of memories from those two years.

Just a couple quickies, nothing major

Thinkin about doin some Black Jack pieces on it........ and blacking out headlight rings, body trim seals etc.

 

That appears to be Electric Blue... awesome color and sure wish MINI would bring it back ! Love the very unique stripes, too.

 

It is a single stripe, calipers will match it soon, was some what of an experiment.....will be re-done to include thin black border stripes, possibly even a 1 thick 1 thin on the green, but still only on one side.....everyone else has the same bonnet stripes, I like to go off the beaten path..., and yes it is Electric Blue, I really like the contrast of the Lime (Kawasaki) Green, I am a Kawi Service Tech by trade, so it fits me as well

 

MINIs are all about being different... so cool !

 

For me.....its like a street legal shifter kart, so its a big fun time..... when I get done with the chassis mods it wont be as sketchy on the 110+mph corners,.....really makes Mondays less Mundane

 

OKC city has some great roads for testing your MINIs top end. I won't mention the speed I was traveling on I-240 (? the interstate that runs east/west south of the city) one night around 11:00 when a friendly trooper pulled me over (would be a violation of the site's rules). Still not sure how she caught up with me.

But you get out of the city and it's even better... very long stretches of straight roads with very little traffic. Open 'er up !

The flat out sections are fun, but I am an old M/C RoadRacer so I really like the corners, either way...Its all good

I like my BLU, is a good lil car...... diggin your diag. stripes, good accent and anti-blending method

 

I also like the color combo, I would leave those two colors. You should black out all the chrome i.e. beltline, headlight rings, front grill.

 

The blacking out is the next exterior changing I am gonna do, aside from a 2nd Revision of my single stripe and "greening" the calipers

Doing the black JCW Coupe wheels instead of the Silver fat spoke that was on it changed the look completely....gotta love black
